Last week, we placed an order for an automated Artificial Intelligence (AI) fever scanner from Taiwan. When it arrives, we will mount it so that it scans everyone as they come in. This is not a replacement for our thermometer testing of everyone entering the classrooms, but will help us to identify people who may not need to have their temperatures taken. The way the scanner will work is that it will identify anyone with a temperature above normal, even if it is only slightly above normal. We will then only have to manually take the temperature of those people, thus making the check in process faster and easier. Although we have ordered and paid for this scanner, we still don't have a date that it will ship. I will keep you all posted on the status of this order. In the mean time, we will simply keep manually taking temperatures as children enter.
